AgCentric
Pty Ltd commenced business in July 2002 to provide web
and software applications to Agribusiness. We operate
from Toowoomba, Queensland with products and services
available nationally.
AgCentric brings together agribusiness and information
technology by people who are experts in both fields.

Peter
Knight
Peter operates a commodity marketing business
situated at Thallon
in the southern border region of Queensland.
The business, Independent Commodity Marketing,
began in 1999 offering risk management and marketing
services to wool and grain growers.
Peter
is also involved in a dry land grain growing operation
with his brother on the family property 'Karoola'
north of Lightning Ridge in NSW.
Peter worked for 10 years for Elders
Ltd wool department where he became the Queensland
Wool Marketing Manager, he holds a Graduate Diploma
in Agribusiness Management from Monash
University's Syme Business School and is a
licenced futures advisor. |

What
Do We Do?
A
sound mix of practical and technical expertise within
both information technology and agribusiness gives AgCentric
the resources to provide solutions to the IT needs of
organisations working in the agribusiness sector.
AgCentric
focuses on offering IT services to agribusiness, including
web and software applications and consultancy.
The
introduction of AWB’s Golden Rewards varietal
grade pricing system for wheat saw Peter Knight enlist
the help of Elizabeth Ure to design a software application
to calculate wheat prices load by load, across all selling
alternatives. The result was WheatCalc, which Peter
used during the 2001 winter harvest with much success.
This union led to the creation of AgCentric Pty Ltd
to market this product to wheat growers.
