AgCentric Pty Ltd commenced business in July 2002 to provide software applications to Agribusiness. Operating from Toowoomba, Queensland with products and services available nationally.
The introduction of AWB’s Golden Rewards varietal grade pricing system for wheat saw Peter Knight enlist the help of Elizabeth Ure to design a software application to calculate wheat prices load by load, across all selling alternatives. The result was WheatCalc, which Peter used during the 2001 winter harvest with much success. This union led to the creation of AgCentric Pty Ltd to market this product to wheat growers, which has formed the platform for the development of the new GrainMark application.
In late 2009, company directors Peter Knight & Kim Bowman enlisted the help of Vikram Patel to design a new software application that integrates Sorghum, Wheat, Barley, Canola and Chickpeas into the one harvest management, pricing and marketing package. The result was GrainMark, an innovative solution to calculate commodity prices load by load, for a variety of crops types across all selling alternatives
